The snow had melted on the east route into Yosemite, so I took the Death Valley road into the park. I didn’t see another car for 100 miles, I did see a few twisters though.
Yosemite is beautiful, with lots of granite and trees. And it was the 4th July! No fireworks allowed though, fire hazard. I hiked up Yosemite falls (thirsty work…), and later got told off by the bear police for leaving a bag of crisps in the car.
Moving on from the park, I drove down to the Pacific and met up with Cerys and Sarah in San Francisco. We ended up camping on the beach to save some money before flying home.
